9 Days Old

On March 6, 2010, Lily Grace was apart of our life for over 1 week. Its hard to believe her not being apart of our lives. What a smile! I'm sure she sees heaven and all its glory.

I took several shots in a row of different facial expressions:

I think its so sweet to see Lily Grace trying to listen with her eyes to my voice. She's very alert and I know she's going to be a talker.

Back to sleep.

1st Week

On March 5, 2010, Lily Grace had her 1st official doctor's appointment. I was told to schedule the appointment toward the end of her first week of being born. This was her before we headed to the doctor's office.

Waiting room.

We had to undress except for the diaper. I had a blanket I held Lily Grace in so she wouldn't be cold.

She was checked from head to toe and received a perfect check-up. We were told to come back in 2 weeks for another check-up visit. Cooper was too sweet with his sister.

Lily Grace didn't like any pacifiers but this one. This one was actually Cooper's old pacifier he was given when he was in NICU. Cooper loved this one the best as well.

Her vision at this point is extremely blurry black and white only. She can't see much of anything. She recognizes my voice though. Chris and I noticed this the 2nd day she was born. While we were still in the hospital, Chris was holding Lily Grace. I started talking and she leaned back and tried to turn her head towards me. Chris and I were amazed.

When Cooper saw this picture he said, "LOOK she put her pacey all by herself". I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Our way home!

Going Home

Before Chris and Cooper arrived to take Lily Grace and I home, the photographer from the hospital took some pictures. The photographer had Lily Grace posed for her camera and I had to take some shots too. Here are some shots I took a couple of minutes before going home. She's so beautiful and perfect!! Its so hard to describe how much I love her!

This is Cooper so excited to see his "baby sister".

This is Lily Grace before getting into the car for the 1st time.

Granny and Papa were excited to meet Lily Grace. They watched Cooper for us while we were at the hospital.

Our precious angel!

First 24 hours

Starting drinking no more than 20 ounces every 3-4hours.

This was placed for security. We were told to stay close to the wall especially near the elevators or the alarm system would go off. I did hear an alarm go off at one point and then received a phone asking if I had my baby. I said, "yes" and was later told it was a false alarm.

More First Moments

A couple of minutes after 6:05 p.m.on Thursday, February 25th.

I remember looking at this portable station off and on all day and trying to picture the baby inside me lying here.

Already pretending she's talking on the phone.
